At yoga last night, the instructor asked us to think about something we’re thankful for. She also reminded us that every day is a day to reflect on what we’re thankful for, not just at Thanksgiving. That is something I need to work on more. It’s easy to get caught up in the negative – a bad day at work, lack of money, the jerk who cut you off.
But focusing on, and being thankful for, the good things in your life helps you become a more positive person. And that’s what I want for myself.
So this Thanksgiving (and beyond), I am thankful for:
- The supportive people in my life
- Having a steady job
- My cute condo
- Two kitties to come home to
- Having a sound body
- … And the continuous stream of Hallmark Christmas movies at this time of year
